Professional Development  Applications

Be sure to get verbal approval from your supervisor (regarding the PD your cost estimation) PRIOR to applying for PD funding using the PD Request Form.  Any inquiries regarding PD can be sent to Fran and Alessandra via pd.manager@burkes.org.  Posting a reflection after attending any PD is an important part of the process that let's your supervisor know you attended the opportunity and shares your learning with the Burke's community.

Please submit an interest form to indicate your summer curriculum work plans for any of the following opportunities:

On-Campus Summer Curriculum Work

  • Curriculum Design Studio for EfS and Civic Engagement Unit Creation

  • Idea Lab Days: June 10th and 11th and August 18th and 19th.   *Describe your Idea using an Idea Lab application form linked below.

  • AI Playground: August 18th   *More information about AI Playground can be found here.  ​​​

 

Additionally, Summer Grants can be applied for curriculum innovation or projects to be completed on or off-campus. 

Summer Grants are awarded to faculty to design and refine curriculum, either individually or collaboratively.

Summer Grants provide a $250 daily stipend for new curriculum development work that occurs between June 12th and August 17th, 2026.

Idea Lab Application

Describe your Idea Lab curriculum project and deliverables using the form linked below BY MAY 29th. 

Idea Lab Days are specified on-campus work days with coaching support to pursue and develop an innovative curricular idea, either individually or collaboratively.  Idea Lab Days provide a $300 daily stipend for new curriculum materials or unit/lesson development and are on June 10th/11th and August 18th/19th, 2026 at Burke’s from 8:30am-3:30pm.

Applications will be reviewed by the Academic Admin team and approvals will be sent out in early June.

Renewal Grant 2026

Burke’s Renewal Grants provide eligible school employees opportunity for personal and professional renewal and enrichment that will be beneficial to the individual and enrich the school community.  The 2026 Renewal Grant application is now closed.

Apply for Funding for the National Board Certification process

National Board Certification is a journey you may be interested in.  Once you have spoken to your supervisor about this, you can use this form to request funding support for the National Board Certification process.  Both May Wong and Lisa Mandelstein are Board Certified if you would like to learn more from them about the process.
