Professional Development  Applications

Be sure to get verbal approval from your supervisor prior to applying for PD funding using the PD Request Form.  Any inquiries regarding PD can be sent to Maria and Fran via pd.manager@burkes.org.  Posting a reflection after attending any PD is an important part of the process that let's your supervisor know you attended the opportunity and shares your learning with the Burke's community.

Renewal Grant 2026

Burke’s Renewal Grants provide eligible school employees opportunity for personal and professional renewal and enrichment that will be beneficial to the individual and enrich the school community.  The 2026 Renewal Grant application is due Monday, February 23rd at 8am.

Summer Grants

Summer Grant are awarded to faculty to individually or collaboratively design and/or revamp curriculum.  A $250 daily stipend will be provided for approved grants.  Summer Grant applications have closed and will reopen for Summer 2026 in the Spring of 2026.

Burke's hosts 4 Idea Lab Days on-campus: June 11th and 12th and August 12th and 13th.  These days are provided as collaborative time for you to do a deep dive pursuing a curricular idea or integrated unit.  Those interested in AI exploration who would like to join Fran for an Idea Lab day on June 11th can indicate that in the application. Applications to attend the optional Idea Lab days in the Summer of 2025 have closed.  Summer of 2026 applications will open in the Spring of 2026.

Apply for Funding for the National Board Certification process

National Board Certification is a journey you may be interested in.  Once you have spoken to your supervisor about this, you can use this form to request funding support for the National Board Certification process.  Both May Wong and Lisa Mandelstein are Board Certified if you would like to learn more from them about the process.
