I really enjoyed the Responsive Classroom training and thought that it was very informative. It was a great way to hear different experiences and perspectives from other teachers. For it being my first year in a classroom, I was unsure of what the workshop will be about. While the training was going on I shortly realized that I have been using Responsive classroom everyday while modeling my lead teacher. Connecting both the training and what I have implemented in the classroom, it is nice reassurance that I am on the right track of becoming a teacher. I learned so much information during the workshop. For example, fun energizers for mind breaks, responsive classroom discipline framework, interactive modeling and teacher language. I found that the different styles of teacher language were very interesting and stood out to me. The four teacher languages include: reinforcing, envisioning, reminding, and redirecting. Some of the characteristics of them are to be direct, concise, genuine and make sure the students have faith in themselves to succeed. I feel more confident in myself as a teacher to bring forward the knowledge that I have learned during the training and from my lead teacher. The training provided me with tons of resources that I will continue to look back at throughout the year.

It's always great to learn new energizers to mix it up and keep the students engaged!
