This year's EMA Annual Conference focused on the theme of mattering. Two of the the three keynote speakers were the authors of of selected summer readin: Marisa Guzman, I Never Thought of It That Way, and Jennifer Breheny Wallave, Never Enough. These powerful speakers focusing on how much mattering matters influenced the way I am apporaching this upcoming admissions season and reminded me that each applicant, and each family can see how much their child will matter through the admissions process. I feel like this is something I always strive for, and seeing it take shape as the dominant trend was both validating and inspiring.

For anyone interested in learning more about enrollment trends, marketing, recruitment, etc. or seeing if this is a space where they might want to get involved in, I highly recommend this robust conference. The sessions are tailored to many different components of this work, and help with everything from speaking with Boards, to managing your team.
