Humanities 6 Makery Collab!
Jackie and I used the final Idea Lab time to plan our collaborative projects for her Humanities class for the upcoming year! We plotted out projects for the next 4 months which will give the 6th-graders space to delve deeper into design. The projects we mapped out are creating a book cover project for their personal narrative writing projects, designing a visually engaging TED Talk, and how to design digital books using Book Creator for a topic they care deeply for. We're hoping by scaffolding time to teach the basics of graphic designs throughout the year, students will have developed a tool kit for visually communicating information which will then prepare them for 7th-grade History.
I'm excited to get started on prototypes for the students to use to get excited about the projects!
