1st Grade Literacy Assessment
Seneca, Kelly, and I re-examined our 1st-grade reading/writing assessments. We looked at TC Phonics assessments and past assessments to help tighten up our assessment benchmarks. We also plotted out when we would do certain assessments throughout the year to help guide our teaching. For example:
Fall - TC Phonics Spelling assessment - My Dog Max (whole group)
TC Phonics Snap Word list (K review)
F & P reading assessment
Phonics list 1
* Phonemic Awareness/Blends Assessment (if needed)
TC WW Small Moments (pg. 153) editing checklist - HWT correctly, CAPS/lowercase (writing prompt: In first grade, I hope to/This year I hope to)
