3rd Grade Curriculum
This summer, I had the opportunity to take the time to go over the 3rd grade curriculum. Using last year's 3B Common Curriculum planner, Scope and Sequence documents, and the Curriculum Maps, I reviewed each subject's information to prepare for my upcoming time as a coteacher. Upon reviewing and spending time reflecting, here are my deliverables to discuss with the third grade team:
Collaborate with Marie on how to split our teaching time appropriately and go over general questions from curriculum
Discuss with the third grade team possible opportunities to collaborate with specialists
Discuss with the third grade team where to implement identity expression lessons into the social studies / SEL sequence
Begin to map out field trips for the 23-24 year
Redesign certain lessons, mostly in math, to allow for more student movement and engagement with one another
Niki, thank you for the time you spent looking at the third grade curriculum and thinking about all of these action items. I am so grateful AND excited that you and Marie are co-teaching this year!
