This 2 day experience is designed for any and all school leaders and I would recommend it to anyone looking for learn and practice strategies that support communication and leadership with a group of other like-minded educators from across the country. This Resource Guide provides information about the Leadership Lab and I invite you to take a look and connect with me if you are interested in any of the content. We practiced coaching conversations with one another and built skills around asking exploratory vs confirmatory questions. We did a lab around feedback and how to best give feedback in a variety of situations in a way that is direct without judgment and we spent a lot of time around defining for ourselves who we are as a leader, how we want to show up in the role, and the impact of our own perceptions on how we lead. I valued the time to meet with others in similar roles from schools across the country and we had time to practice visual thinking skills and ways to incorporate this into our facilitation of meetings, committee work, PD, etc.
I really valued the time to reflect on myself as a leader, what I see as my strengths and areas for growth, and I appreciated how the Leadership Lab was structured in a way to facilitate this self-work in a meaningful way. Please don't hesitate to reach out if anything in the Resource Guide is of interest to you or if you're interested in learning more about Leadership and Design offerings.
