Lower School Curriculum

I had the opportunity to take the elementary core course with Responsive Classroom from August 1-4. Having experience with the one day training and utilizing the practices throughout the school year, I felt the course was a great refresher for the purpose of the RC practices. I learned new interactive learning structures to engage all students and had authentic discussions with fellow teachers surrounding the importance of teacher language. I felt this PD was a great way to start envisioning my teacher style for the upcoming school year, and allowed me to reflect on what I hope to achieve in a coteaching environment.
