Introduction to Responsive Classroom
I would recommend this PD to anyone who is in the process of becoming a teacher. It is a 1 day course that provides a learning materials, food, and a free resource book. The PD covers many different parts of being a teacher such as why we do morning meetings to the tone of voice when talking to our students. It's a foundational PD that may teach you new things to try in your classroom or reenforces things that you already do in your classroom.
One of the lessons that I took away from this PD is "interactive modeling." Interactive modeling is a way to model to students a routine or skill however unlike other modeling methods interactive modeling involves students as active participants. During the PD we acted out how to do it along with the other teachers who were there.
This PD was informative in a fun way. I've got to meet other teachers, hear how they teach, and learned so much more.
