SEL

I took part in IFSEL's Summer Institute in June for a duration of four days. This conference significantly deepened my comprehension of SEL and equipped me with engaging and enjoyable activities. I intend to incorporate these activities into my daily routines in both my advisory and classroom settings.

The conference provided me with tools for de-escalation techniques, positive communication and conflict resolution, self-advocacy, and more. I found the concepts particularly intriguing and valuable. I was particularly drawn to the innovative ideas for utilizing nature within my advisory sessions. Additionally, I now possess enhanced skills in effectively checking in on the emotions of my advisees using a variety of enjoyable methods. Furthermore, I acquired a wealth of activities that can effectively engage students both within advisory sessions and in the classroom.
