Bal-A-Vis-X - A physical application of mindfulness
You don't need to leave campus to learn something new from an expert - we have such great expertise right here at Burke's and I learned about a mind/body practice from Jonathan as he led some 3rd graders through this practice. Bal-A-Vis-X is a series of Balance, Auditory/ Vision Exercises that vary in complexity and are deeply rooted in the natural rhythm of our bodies. Bal-A-Vis-X consists of thousands of physical/ auditory/ visual midline crossings in three dimensions. Crossings are steadily rhythmic and auditory based, the pace is the natural outcome of proper physical technique. In essence, Bal-A-Vis-X enables the entire mind/ body system to experience the natural systematical flow of a pendulum. Bal-A-Vis-X is the physical application of mindfulness and their website has great resources and ideas for how to integrate this into your own practice, at work or at home.
