This leadership institute is an impactful and extremely worthwhile program for any and all school leaders. There were around 80 in attendance from across the country and the week is organized in a way that allows you to develop close and supportive relationships with a both a larger learning group as well as a smaller cohort that you meet with through out the week. I appreciated and valued the opportunity to work with a learn from teachers and administrators both aspiring to as well as already in leadership roles.
The Institute is organized around 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership (Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, Model the Way, and Encourage the Heart) furthered explained in these slidedecks:

Attending this Institute allowed the time and space to explore each of these 5 areas of leadership in a hands-on and interactive way with other leaders looking to engage about their own leadership aspirations and practices. It was very worthwhile and would encourage any one interested in leadership roles to attend. This was their first time doing it in DC at the new NAIS headquarters which was centrally located and the opportunity to explore the area and learn during optional outings, as well as affinity spaces, and wellness events, all contributed to this valuable workshop. It was super hot when I went this summer so this is a view of my very early morning exploration of the area sites when it was cooler:).
